Montreal Wedding Photography: Sarah & Neto

Congratulations to Sarah & Neto!

Keep it easy breezy for your big day. Try not to complicate the day with too much travel for your bridal party, or rent a bus like Sarah and Neto did for their families to get to one location. Huffington Post gave some great tips for groomsmen: Preparations for the big day can easily become overwhelming for your groom and his bride. So offer your help to ease them (and the bridesmaids) of some of the tasks. Don’t just say “Call me when you need help”, but rather offer a helping hand on specific tasks like sending in the measurements to the tux rental shop, collecting the suits, or picking up family members from the airport. Your groom (and his bride) will surely appreciate your support!

We were in love with Sarah’s & Neto’s choice of rustic vibe that emulated throughout the entire theme of their vineyard wedding. Having an amazing wedding planner too will help you pull it all together. Lisa Sew nailed it! According to The Knot Images are way more telling than words. Bring your inspirations boards, a bridesmaid dress fabric swatch and a photograph of your wedding gown. This will cue your florist in on the look you’re after from the start. Keep in mind: Your florist will totally appreciate snapshots that reflect your style, but don’t expect exact replicas of what lives on your inspiration board. Floral designers are just that – artists with a vision and a desire to create something one of a kind for your wedding. Communicate what you like about the centerpiece or archway, but be open to modifications and substitutions, especially when it comes to actual flowers. Maybe you’re attracted to an arrangement because you like the loose, deconstructed vibe, or maybe you just like the colors.

If the timeline doesn’t allow for sunset photos, during the reception, have you considered a sneak out for 10 minutes for a few night shots? We totally understand the importance of being a good host, so a wee sneak out to grab the shot is all we need. The ideal time for this is right after you grab a bite to eat or during the open floor dancing after you’ve danced a few songs and would like a break.

Typical Montreal forecast all of us keep our eyes on. A forecast for cloudy, windy, with 60% chance of rain and potentially severe thunderstorms. Have you considered umbrella pics for your wedding? Just roll with whatever comes. Rain or shine, we can’t control the weather, but we can have a great time by working around it. Enjoy your beautiful day, whatever the weather. xo
